for teachers who do not have access to personal web sites.Teachers can post information
about their classes on their own personal page. Parents and teachers can access the page
with its own URL. Information is limited; this is not a substitute for a personal web
site. It is, however, a good alternative. The service is free. Banner advertising does
appear on the pages.
- Blackboard.com - an online education company
transforming the internet into a dynamic web-based teaching and learning environment. This
is a great idea, but a browsing of several of the "offerings" reveals that this
site appears to be poorly moderated.
